Lee Overmyer is a fifth-generation farmer, working more than 6,500 acres of land each season. While he’s passionate about growing crops to provide food across the world, he expresses his competitive side through the sport of tractor pulling.
The sport features modified tractors that pull heavy sleds down a track, with the winner being the tractor that pulls the farthest distance. He and his brother share one pulling tractor that they work on together in their spare off-hours from farming.
Reaching the end of the track in a “full pull” is the goal, but the time spent preparing the tractor and bonding with other farmers who pull is where the real fun lies.
